New Seasons also has some great T-Day options, both for those who cook and those who want take-away. I did one of their organic turkeys – brined it myself (I prefer more garlic and lemon than their recipe), stuffed it with aromatics, and got that butter under the skin – and it was the best turkey ever. They also have pre-brined, and even turducken. And Trader Joe’s has never steared me wrong for good ingredients or last minute extras.

  3. Jim S says

Will be visiting Portland in December and would like to know if any of these restaurants will be open for Christmas dinner. Thanks.

    • Food Dude says

It’s a bit too early to say yet. I haven’t heard anyone announce their plans. Your best bet may be hotel restaurants, such as the Heathman.
