Here is my 2011 roundup of all the restaurants which are serving Thanksgiving dinners this year. Below this section, you’ll find a list of businesses offering dinners to-go, pies, etc.
Altitude Restaurant at The Resort prepares Thanksgiving feast. Executive Chef Paul Bosch is preparing an exquisite Northwest feast featuring favorites from around the region, including Dungeness drab, honey cured ham and slow roasted tom turkey. Altitude’s Thanksgiving buffet is available from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on November 24th. The cost is $36 for adults, $29 for seniors, $1 per year for guests ages five to 16 and free for children under five. Andina Restaurant is holding a Peruvian Thanksgiving on November 24, 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. $50 per adult. Menu includes a wide selection of tapas, entrée and dessert items from the regular menu, along with Thanksgiving specials like Pavo al Horno con Calabaza y Salsa de Saúco, heritage turkey dusted with a tres ajíes rub and slow roasted, served with quinoa-hazelnut stuffing, mâche salad, caramelized Uncle David Dakota squash and elderberry gravy. We will have live music with Toshi Onizuka from 1:30-5:30, and the Danny Romero Trio from 6-10 p.m.

The Country Cat – will be serving a special Thanksgiving menu on Thursday, November 24 from 2-8pm. Dishes will include Truffled Deviled Egg, Chopped Crab and Grilled Shrimp Toast; Brined, Smoked and Braised Turkey with Granny Criss’ Stuffing; Autumn Vegetable and Pecan Stuffed Crepes with Sour Cherry Braised Cabbage and Ciabber Cream; and Pumpkin Cheesecake with Bourbon Chantilly. Gracie’s – On Thursday, November 24, 2011, Chef Mark Hosack at Gracie’s in downtown Portland’s glamorous Hotel deLuxe will present an extravagant afternoon buffet in celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday. Perfect holiday fare for the whole family, it will star the very best regional ingredients in iconic Thanksgiving dishes with an elegant twist.
The buffet will be served from noon to 4 p.m. on Thursday, November 24, 2011 and priced at $39 for adults, $17 for children ages 5-12 and free for kids age 4 and under. Those who prefer a later show time can dine at Gracie’s on Thanksgiving evening from 5:30 to 9 p.m. when Chef Hosack’s standard a la carte menu will be enhanced by turkey and prime rib Thanksgiving specials paired with traditional sides and priced at $25 each.

Heathman Restaurant and Bar – This annual Thanksgiving celebration brings families together to celebrate the holiday and the bounty of Northwest ingredients prepared by culinary director Philippe Boulot and Executive Chef Michael Stanton. Northwest natural roasted turkey; roast prime rib; roast stuffed Carlton Farms pork loin; and bouillabaise are a few of the featured dishes. The Heathman offers a prix fixe menu in the dining room from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and a grand holiday buffet from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the second floor mezzanine and private dining rooms. The grand buffet is $46.50 per adult and $18 per child under 12 and the prix fixe dinner is $46.50 for adults and $18 per child under 12. Meriwether’s is the perfect setting for a unique farm-to-table Thanksgiving dinner. The stone fireplace, stained glass and hardwood floors provide one of the coziest spots in Portland to enjoy a memorable Thanksgiving meal with family and friends. Chef Earl Hook will prepare a traditional family-style Thanksgiving dinner inspired by the fall produce harvested from Skyline Farm & our local purveyor partners.

Oliver’s at the Camas Hotel will have two seatings for Thanksgiving, at 12:30 and 4:00 offering a three-course meal for only $35 per person designed to include all the tradition of the day. Paley’s Place will feature specials such as spit-roasted turkey breast and confit of leg, savory bread pudding, mashed potatoes and cranberry-orange compote for Thanksgiving Day from 2:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The regular dinner menu will also be available featuring classic Paley’s Place menu items such as Escargot à la Bordelaise, Crispy Sweetbreads or Rabbit Ravioli depending on availability. Prost! Once again this Thanksgiving Day, Prost! will open at 6PM for our 3rd Annual Turkey Feed. Here is the quick details:
- Doors open at 6PM
- 100lbs of free turkey will be available on a first come first serve basis, including roasted and smoked varieties.
- Guest are encouraged, but not required to bring a side dish or desserts. Plenty of mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, etc. will be provided.
- Plenty of cold bier and booze!
- Doors close at 2:30AM
We have been told every year by many of our guests that they couldn’t believe that we provided a free Thanksgiving Dinner, but that it is one of the best turkey dinners that they have ever had in their lives. Spread the word and join us!
Radio Room will be open on Thanksgiving. We will be open from 5:00pm to 2:00am on Thanksgiving day, and will be offering a Turkey Dinner Special with all the fixings, as well as many drink specials.
Salty’s on the Columbia: Sit Down or To-Go! – With Thanksgiving Day just around the corner, Salty’s on the Columbia has gathered the right ingredients for a perfect meal. Chef Josh Gibler has prepared a Thanksgiving Buffet that features carved turkey, honey ham, and prime rib, elegant versions of the traditional trimmings, fresh Northwest seafood, and freshly baked pastries and deserts.
First Seating- 10:30 am, Last- 5:45 pm.
Adults $47 or $54 with Bottomless Champagne. $1.50 per year of age for children 12 and under.
Trader Vic’s Portland will be open on Thanksgiving Day, ready for parties of any sizes to dine and celebrate. Executive chef will whip up a Turkey Day special, consisting of Chinese-oven smoked turkey breast with wok-sautéed yard beans, sweet Hawaiian bread stuffing, toasted thyme gravy, garlic smashed potato, and Vic’s famous artichoke spinach. Celebrate Tradition at Urban Farmer November 24th from 12pm until 9pm. Wildwood Restaurant will serve its annual Thanksgiving Dinner Menu on Thursday, November 24 from 2-7:30pm. Chef Dustin Clark takes traditional Thanksgiving turkey and deconstructs it by roasting the entire breast in the tandoor until it is perfectly juicy and tender, separating and slow cooking the dark meat. A special treat again this year at Wildwood will be fresh pies to-go. Place your order the day before and for $20 you can go home with a Chai Spiced Pumpkin Pie, Brown Butter Bourbon Pecan Pie, or Queener Fruit Farm Apple Pie. Pecan Pumpkin Delight combines a Tarte aux Noix(traditional French walnut tarte) made with pecan nuts and brown-sugar caramel and topped with rossettes of pumpkin cream. Cranberry Hazelnut bread is made with whole wheat sour dough flour from Shepherd’s Grain and includes dried cranberries and Oregon hazelnuts.
