Throwing Ourselves On The Grenade of Bad Food to Save You

"I have a wide-range of food experience - working in the restaurant industry on both sides of the house, later in the wine industry, and finally traveling/tasting my way around the world. Whether you agree or disagree, you can always count on my unbiased opinion. I don't take free meals, and the restaurants don't know when, or if, I am coming."

that is pretty much the worst thing ever.
I love these commercials! So different! Odd for sure but boy they really make you take notice and for the price they pay for tv ads isn’t that a good thing? Creative, announcer is do expressive, their saying “ice cream is a feeling” is fantastic!!
I’m going to have nightmares for a week, thanks.
I think it’s brilliant. Got people talking about the brand which is very difficult to do.
If you reach a bajillion people and only gross out most of them, you’re winning. Maybe.
I would call this a fail. It comes down to the “any PR is good PR” question. In this case it is just too creepy and makes the viewer not so much interested in the product as repulsed by it. I think there were better ways to execute their creative without sending people screaming away in droves.
I notice half the head missing in the first video….. explains the second creepy video-no brains. Such a turn off……this has to be a joke.
One of the worst commercials ever. I would go to any lengths necessary to completely avoid this product, no matter how good it might taste. The commercials are repulsive. If you really still think it’s brilliant, please don’t give up your day job and consider a career in marketing. :-)
does anybody know if this is fake? i.e. not actually trying to sell ice cream?
Creepy, weird, gross, whatever… That is one ballsy advertising campaign!
In spite of my previous comment about it being nightmare inducing, +1 for this ad in that it at least piqued my curiosity enough to check out their website (-1 for the fact that they’re in Philly so my checking out their website nets to 0 for their bottom line). They have some unusual ice cream flavors including “peanut butter maple tarragon”. Now I’m all for this recent trend of interesting flavor combos in ice cream; I can roll with the savory and sweet mixes, and using herbs, spices, and other such non-traditional agents. But I cannot wrap my mind around peanut butter maple tarragon ice cream tasting good.
