Foster & Dobbs Closes

December 18, 2017 by PDX Food Dude Leave a Comment

Foster & Dobbs, the NE Portland gourmet food/wine/deli has closed for good

Foster & Dobbs

Not sure how I missed this closing until now. When Foster & Dobbs first opened in 2005, it made an impact just because it was the first “gourmet” food store anywhere in northeast Portland. Over the years they worked hard on making it a full-service shop with a good selection of that odd gourmet food item you’ve been looking for. I’ll miss going in for a sandwich and chatting with the staff when I’m in the neighborhood. Best of luck to the owners and employees.

Dear Friends, Neighbors and Customers,

It is with heavy hearts that we closed our Foster & Dobbs Irvington retail shop in November 2017. We have loved being part of, and playing a part in, the neighborhood and the community. From Friday wine tastings to morning coffee, to lunches outside in the sunshine, we thank you for your patronage and support over the past 5 years.

Our lease ended in November, and we decided to use that as an opportunity to reevaluate our business model. Our love of curating delicious wine, cheeses, meats and specialty foods will certainly live on, likely in a different form outside of the retail market.

Please keep in touch and stay connected for updates on what’s next through fosteranddobbs.com, Instagram, Facebook, or by emailing me at kevin@fosteranddobbs.com.

It has been a true pleasure sharing good food and drink with each of you. Thank you again for all of your support.

Kevin, Leslie, and Dane
