More information from the 2018 Portland FEAST is trickling in.
Sandwich Invitational RIP.
Instead, it is being replaced with a new Thursday night event: this year it’s 80’s vs 90’s.
From the press release – “It’s no secret; we’re all obsessed (again) with the 80s and 90s. The permed hair, leg warmers and seven-layer dip are back, and we’re enlisting the help of 20 of the hottest chefs from Portland and across America to jog your memory with their own unexpected takes on what we ate back then. Set to a cassette-worthy mix of hair bands, grunge and classic hip-hop, you’ll be channeling your inner Michael or Britney in no time. This is a team competition where half the chefs will represent the 80s and the other half the 90s in a throwback cook-off that’s guaranteed to knock your parachute pants off. Maybe your shoulder pads, too.” Some of the participating chefs are Brad Furmerie and Sam Smith of Tusk, Melissa McMillan – Sammich PDX, Joel Preisch and Will Stocks – Holdfast, Maya Lovelace – Yonder, Mason Hereford – Turkey and Wolf.
The full schedule will be available on June 7th at 9am PST at FeastPortland.com, with tickets going on sale the following day, June 8th at 9am PST. Move fast – the most popular events sell out quickly!
