Portland Dining Month is always a great event. For a fixed price of $29, you get a three-course meal from dozens of Portland restaurants. It’s a great, safe way to try those restaurants you have always wondered about, but weren’t sure if they were your cup of tea. I always hit a good dozen of them. Even better, many higher end places are included, like clarklewis, Paley’s Place, Imperial, etc.
This year the event is being held during the normally slow restaurant month of March!
Here are the details from the 2014 press release.
WHAT: Mark the calendar. Portland Dining Month is back for the fifth year, but this year it’s slated for March and the list of participating restaurants is already growing. A collaboration among the Downtown Marketing Initiative, Travel Portland and restaurant partners, Portland Dining Month is a month-long dining promotion where Portland restaurants offer three-course dinner menus – including an appetizer, entrée and dessert – for $29 per person, served every day the restaurant is open. This is a unique and affordable opportunity for both locals and visitors to try new Portland restaurants or go back to their favorites.
For the last four years Portland Dining Month was held in June, but due to additional out-of-market advertising opportunities funded by the Tourism Improvement District and input from restaurants, the highly anticipated promotion has been moved to March.
WHEN: The entire month of March, 7 days a week, during dinner hours
WHERE: Dozens of top Portland restaurants.
COST: $29 for a three-course meal
