Coffeehouse owners who are tired of customers buying a single cup of coffee and squatting at a table for hours take note.

From UPI.com, A coffeehouse in Wiesbaden, Germany is charging customers for the time they spend in the café, rather than for their cup of coffee. Slow Time Cafe customers are given a wristband when they enter for about $2.60 American, which covers the first half hour. After that, they are charged .06 cents per minute or about $5.18 per hour. For that charge they can have as much coffee as they want. According to shop owner Daria Volkova, “clocks around the café are purposefully set to different times to help people stop thinking about time and instead focus on those around them. WiFi is also available included in the price.

That price is still less than I typically spend on my doule dark chocolate mochas…
