Video – Grant Achatz’s “Next Restaurant”: The Hunt

January 17, 2013 by PDX Food Dude 1 Comment

Every time Grant Achatz’s NEXT Restaurant rolls out a new menu, they produce a video to go with it. Their current video is for a menu called “The Hunt”. It’s not for the faint of heart, as it includes hunting, butchery, blood, etc., but it certainly makes it clear just what ingredients go into your dinner – and it is beautifully done.

NEXT Restaurant in in Chicago, Il.

Phil Vettel, the Chicago Tribune food critic, just reviewed “The Hunt” and gave it four stars (out of a possible 4). Mr. Vettel has given each Next menu 4 stars, except for the Thai menu, which he gave 3.5 stars.

Interestingly, I don’t believe there is any beef on “The Hunt” menu. There is sturgeon, trout, venison, woodcock, walleye, elk, rabbit, boar, antelope, duck, squab, and bison.
