Beast Restaurant to Relocate?

In response to a query about rumors I’ve heard, Naomi Pomeroy of Beast Restaurant confirmed today that she does not plan to renew her lease at her current location on NE 30th Ave. “I haven’t signed on a space but am looking and not planning to renew at Beast 1.0“. Her current lease expires in August, and she’s looking for a new, larger place in or near the downtown core.

According to a statement to Eat Beat, “The signature communal dinners will stay, but Beast will unleash a bar with a playful menu and seasonal cocktails that break with Portland’s manly bourbon and bitter-centric drinks”.

A big part of the experience at Beast is the intimate space, communal seating and almost family-like meals. Naomi has received many accolades from press throughout the nation for the restaurant, and garnered further attention after appearances in several television shows. It will be interesting to see if she can continue the magic at a larger location.

Or to inner, non-downtown SW. You can count the decent restaurants on one hand and probably won’t use all 5 fingers.

Over the river and in the city to grandmothers house we go……..for a visit. Grandmother doesn’t cook anymore, she makes reservations. So whoopee!! My husband I can’t wait. Looking forward to another opening.
Lots of places to choose from. For lease signs abound in NW neighborhoods.
