Berlin Inn Closing, To Reopen as The Brooklyn House Restaurant

June 20, 2013 by PDX Food Dude Leave a Comment

The Berlin Inn PortlandIf you like the Berlin Inn, this is the last week the German restaurant will be open. After 21 years of business, the Brauer family will serve their last meal this Saturday, June 22nd.

After remodeling through mid-July, the building will reopen as The Brooklyn House Restaurant, serving “European-style Comfort Food”, served by the same staff they have now.

The focus of the new restaurant will be to make “sure that every single guest has a variety of choices, from meat and potatoes to vegan and gluten-free.”

I have a soft spot in my heart for The Berlin Inn. The staff is always great, and I love the old house and the patio along the side.
