Bird + Bear Opens June 11th, Doesn’t Really Serve Bear

June 11, 2015 by PDX Food Dude 1 Comment

Donald Kotler, the driving force behind Toast and Yolk has announced that he is opening “Bird + Bear” restaurant on SE Holgate June 11th. The menu offers a large selection of sandwiches such as meatball subs, duck, and albacore along with a hamburger and larger plates such as eggplant Parmesan and chicken ragu. The restaurant includes a full bar.

According to Kotler, “the vision of the bird + bear is to provide delicious urban comfort food of the highest quality in a cozy, laid back atmosphere, using seasonal and sustainable ingredients when ever possible. We will treat you like family as soon as you walk through the door, the bird + bear is a place to enjoy good food and good friends.”

In a savy bit of publicity, they have released a Youtube video about the restaurant
