Cocotte Announces Expanded Dining Room

December 6, 2013 by PDX Food Dude 1 Comment

An interesting press release this morning:

Cocotte Bar & Bistro in NE Portland is announcing an expansion
and renovation. Beginning November 1st, 2013, Cocotte began rehabbing its
neighboring storefront into an elegant dining room addition as well as renovating the
existing space.

Chef Owner Kat LeSueur hopes to have the project completed for holiday parties this
month. “Currently our intimate dining room has limited capacity and forces us to turn
away larger parties. This expansion will not only help us accommodate larger parties
and higher volume on a regular basis but will provide a unique and memorable space
for private parties beginning this holiday season. Our customers love our food and
ambiance and we want to provide that on a nightly basis to a higher volume of diners
while simultaneously catering to the needs of larger or private parties. We are also
excited to have more flexibility for special events like winemaker dinners and charity
benefit nights.”

So nice of them to talk the landlord into booting out the artist who had been holed up in there for a decade right before her busy holiday season! This corner is so full of pretension, very disappointing to see it change into this.
