In another episode of my exciting “Dude, I have the munchies” screenplay, we have the Sprinkles Cupcakes ATM in Los Angeles.
“Dude, you know what would be good right now?”
“Anything!”
“Let’s hit the cupcake ATM!”
You read that right. Sprinkles Beverly Hills is opening a 24-hour ATM, which will dispense cupcakes, cupcake mixes, doggie cupcakes, and Sprinkles apparel.
This is freaking brilliant. Staff is up all night in the bakery anyway. Chances are this ATM is just a “dumb” pay terminal with a real person on the other side of the wall who fills orders individually, but think about it – the biggest bane of 24 hour food service is dealing with all the customers who are in an “altered state”. This way they make the sale with minimal employee involvement. But wait, there’s more! According to laist who broke this story, a second ATM will be added to dispense waffle cones, ice cream sandwiches made with cupcake tops, brownies and sundaes.
I feel a road trip coming on.
