Food Haiku 2009 Winner

Here are the winners of our Food Haiku Contest 2009

The first prize was an easy pick this year. By an overwhelming majority, Mark is the winner of two tickets to Taste of the Nation on Monday the 27th:

Morning coffee brews
Melting butter on warm toast
The furnace kicks in

Second place was more difficult. I had to bring in extra judges to break the tie between seven entries to choose a second place (21 total judges). The runner-up and winner of a $25.00 gift certificate to Carafe Restaurant is Maria W.

Give me some pasta
forkfuls of love and ruin.
The wine’s nearly gone.
