James Beard Foundation 2022 Awards Finalists Announced

Three Portland Nominees have made the list.

As expected, the James Beard Foundation has announced the finalists for the Restaurant and Chef award categories. Here are the results for Oregon:

Outstanding Restauranteur of the year Portland nominee:

• Akkapong “Earl” Ninsom  – Langbaan, Hat Yai, Eem, PaaDee, Phuket Cafe

Best Chef Northwest and Pacific:

• Thomas Pisha-Duffly – Gado Gado, Oma’s Hideaway
• Carlo Lamagna – Manga

Winners will be celebrated at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards ceremony on Monday, June 13, 2022, at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
