This press release today with bad news for lovers of Little Bird Bistro –

Dear Friends, Guests, and Peers,

We are sending this mailing out to share the news that after 9 wonderful years Little Bird Bistro will be closing. Our last night of service will be Sunday, October 27. We’ll be open for our regular hours until then.

Over the years we have been honored that so many of you have chosen Little Bird to celebrate the special occasions of your lives, or just enjoyed a quiet Tuesday afternoon at our bar.

Our hearts are warmed with the memories of all the people who have worked here over the years, and how Little Bird has been a part of their lives’ journeys. We are heartbroken to have to see Little Bird close, but look forward with enthusiasm to what lies ahead.

We hope to see you at Little Bird over the next few weeks to enjoy some wine, a cocktail, some food, and to share some laughs and memories.

With Appreciation,

Andy & Gabriel

The restaurant has struggled over the years not only with the location, but in maintaining consistent quality between chef changes. I liked it and am sorry to see it go. No word as to future plans for the space. How about Canard #2?

Thanks for bringing a great restaurant to Portland. I’ve always admired your ambitious approach to all things culinaria and I look forward to your next project. I’ll also look forward to seeing the Little Bird Burger re-appear on another menu.
