Pastini Closing NW 23rd Location, Opening in Eugene

January 14, 2016 by PDX Food Dude Leave a Comment

Dear friends,

It’s been a great 15 years for Pastini at our location on NW 23rd , however we have decided not to renew our lease there. With three other locations in Portland, as well as our restaurants in Bridgeport Village and Cedar Hills Crossing, we feel that five Pastini’s are just the right number for the Portland metro area. This was a driving force in our decision not to renew.

While we’ll regret not being in the Nob Hill district any longer, we feel certain that our restaurants nearby on SW Taylor downtown and NE Broadway will be great options for our loyal cadre of Pastini fans in NW Portland. And they’ll probably run into some familiar faces as our staff at Pastini on 23rd will all be offered positions at another Pastini.

We also have some very exciting news. We have just signed a lease for a new Pastini in Eugene, at the beautiful Oakway center there. For many years we’ve thought that Eugene would be a great place for our food, but the perfect location wasn’t available. Now we’ve found it in a new hotel/retail complex being built at Oakway, Eugene’s premier shopping center. Construction will begin in June and we project an opening date of October 1st.

Plans are also underway for future Pastini expansion outside of Oregon. We are in discussions with a new shopping center in Boise, and we are also looking at Salt Lake City as another great market for us. We’re tremendously excited about the future of Pastini!

Over the next few weeks, we’ll still be cooking up delicious classic pastas at Pastini on NW 23rd, before we close at the end of January. Hope to see you soon!
