Eater broke the story this morning that the SE Portland restaurant, Renata has closed for good.
Lovers of their frozen pizza will be glad that they will continue to be available. From the Renata Instagram –
natapdxReal talk: most people think life is back to normal. The pandemic is a thing of the past and we’re all moving on. The reality is that the damage done to restaurants continues to be part of our daily life.
The challenges that we face every day and the struggle to just open our doors are real. We at Renata have had a fair share of those lately. But they say when life gives you lemons you make lemonade 🍋
We have been incredibly blessed by the opportunity of bringing a new product @renatapdxpizza to the grocery stores. This line of frozen pizzas started in 2020 and today we’re in stores all over OR and WA. In an effort to continue to grow our brand we have decided to stop regular service at Renata and concentrate our energy into making the best frozen pizzas in the market.
We’ll continue hosting private events and have a few fun dinners with friends coming up in November, we hope to see you there! We thank you for your support and love throughout the years, having you in our home has brought us purpose. Support your local restaurants and be kind to all.
