Every year I write about the farmers market opening, and this year I rounded up the other Dude’s and decided to go out to Beaverton, as I hadn’t been to it for years. I’m glad I did.
From what I can recall, it’s grown a lot, with easily over 100 vendors. It’s adjacent to Beaverton City Park, and a nice play area for the kids. Aisles are wide, the crowd flows quickly, and everyone seems to be having a good time. You’ll see many of the same vendors as the PFM such as Olympic Provisions, Unger Farms, Tastebud, Rogue Creamery, etc., but there are many that seem to be unique to the market, like the well-known Gloria’s Secret, Vincent Family Cranberries, and lots of small produce vendors. We had a nice time enjoying the market, and will be coming back.
Here are some quick snapshots to whet your appetite for any of our farmers markets!
[For those who are going to say BFM is getting this exposure because they are currently an advertiser, you can check out posts from earlier years of the Portland Farmers Market here, here, etc.. ]

We love BFM as well. Just a note, Vincent Family Cranberries has a stall at the PSU PFM as well.

I love Beaverton Farmer’s Market just as much as PSU’s. PSU’s has more bakeries & chocolatiers that I like, but Beaverton has some produce & fish vendors that I prefer over PSU’s market. So for us, it depends what we’re in the mood food.
My favorite produce vendor is Denison Farms. Love their favas, romano beans and those triangle-shaped Italian red bell peppers that come around in August.
From their website, looks like BFM has 150+ vendors and 15k – 20k visitors each week. Largest agricultural market in Oregon.

I prefer BFM to PSU. Sad to see that the Thai food stand was not there this year- love those crunchy salad rolls. The produce options are fantastic out there.
They have been going strong for several years- “coming into it’s own”?

Beaverton Farmers Market has been around since 1988. For those that have never been out here, please give us a try. You will be pleasantly surprised, especially if you bring the whole family. Every market has unique features and vendors – try something different for a change of pace.
