Blueplate Lunch Counter and Soda Fountain For Sale

By PDX Food Dude Last Update March 16, 2014 3 Comments

    From Jeffery Reiter –

Five years ago I opened Blueplate Lunch Counter and Soda Fountain with $85,000 and a dream. It has been a crazy ride including Food Network presence and a more than I deserved article in the New York Times. My life has been through many changes and I have grown more than I ever thought I could, but it is now time for a break. I would like to take some time to rest and develop some future ideas.

I am passing the torch, is it your turn?

Blueplateʼs space is the best “turn key” opportunity downtown and I would like to leave it in the hands of a competent professional. If you have been thinking of heading out on your own, please consider this little space.

Until I find someone to take over, Blueplate will be open as usual. If you are interested in setting up in the Dekum Building just come on in, belly up to the counter and we can talk.

85K and a dream is all it takes to take your turn on the ride.
    -Jeffery Reiter

This is the saddest thing I’ve heard in a long time. Best wishes Mr. Reiter!

Just wanted to make sure everyone knows that Blueplate will be open as usual until we find a new Chef or Bartender to take over the space. Thank you, Chef Jeff – Blueplate
