By PDX Food Dude Last Update November 29, 2017 6 Comments

Portland’s Foster Burger Top Ten Best New in Nation

In a national roundup of burger restaurants for the July issue, Bon Appétit Magazine lists Portland’s Foster Burger as one of their top ten new burgers in the nation. Foster Burger keeps the menu simple: Burgers, Fries, Chili, Green Salads and Beer/Cocktails.

Killer Burger PortlandIf you’re the kind of person who can’t resist ordering “the burger” at restaurants, you must be eating a lot of them these days. They’re everywhere—from a much-hyped $26 version at a Manhattan tavern to a classic California-style one at an emerging Los Angeles mini-chain. Here are 10 must-try versions.

No to rain on anyone’s parade, but Top Ten New Burger spots?

Here is a link to the article, with the complete list. For those of you who want to drop by and give it a try, “Foster Burger is open daily 11 am – 10 pm.  It is located at 5339 SE Foster Road in Portland. Website:  fosterburger.com.”

Not even top five in Portland. Gave it two chances. Both were so over-seasoned with black pepper that it almost ruined the great buns from the bakery next door.

Yeah, I’m not a big fan of Foster Burger myself either. Combined with how far out they are for me (since I live in NW and don’t own a car), I tried them out once and was really disappointed. Cassidy’s, Carafe, and Slow Bar just to name a couple off the top of my head, make infinitely better burgers.

      Damn, really?
I tried foster burger twice, really wanted to like them but just didn’t.
I wouldn’t even put their burgers in the top ten in Portland.
I do like the buns though.
