    Branch Restaurant to Close

By PDX Food Dude Last Update October 21, 2016 Leave a Comment

BranchBranch (previously Branch Whiskey Bar) on  Alberta is closing on November 5th after eight years in business. Owner Bruce Kaad is a retired school teacher, and wants to be completely retired, saying “I am more than ready to retire and enjoy being a grandpa”.

Chef Scott Shampine and sommelier Jim Constantine “are unsure of our plans but are collecting contact info for our beloved regulars.” They hope to do pop up dinners at some point in the future and perhaps their own restaurant down the line.

If you want to take in a final meal and say goodbye, you have until November 5th. Branch is at 2926 NE Alberta. Best of luck to all the people affected by the closure.
