February 2, 2012, Portland, OR – Dragonfish Restaurant located across from Directors Park at 909 SW Park Avenue and Taylor in downtown Portland has closed. The space is undergoing a transformation and will open as Tasting East restaurant and bar.

“Tasting East will be offering Far East Street Plates,” stated Andrew Tinling, Restaurant Manager for Tasting East. “We’re excited to offer a wide variety of small, affordable plates from China, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, India and Vietnam. Our selection of sake, sho-chu, soju and Asian beers is the biggest in the City. We’re excited to begin our offerings at TE:bar,” Mr. Tinling concluded.

Tasting East is located on the street level of the Portland Paramount Hotel and has gained a reputation from Portlanders as a great, local watering hold The restaurant and bar are separated by the hotel lobby and the TE:bar is now opened under the Tasting East moniker. The full service restaurant will be closed approximately three weeks for remodeling.
