Hall Street Grill Closing for Renovation, Thanksgiving Events, and Etiquette Classes

A quick note today from Hall Street Grill in Beaverton. The restaurant will be closed for renovation from October 25th – November 1st, reopening November 2nd.

El Gaucho seems to think some people have lost their manners, and are going to be offering a series of blog posts and classes covering various aspects of dining etiquette:

  • Restaurant 101
  • Table Manners
  • Understanding Place Settings
  • How to Handle the Bill
  • Technology at the Table
  • The Art of the Toast
  • Dining In Style at Home
  • Wine Etiquette
  • Etiquette for Emerging Adults

“Emerging Adults” must be the politically correct term for children. Interesting that they feel this information is needed, but from what I frequently see happening around me in restaurants, I think it might be valuable to some people. I was brought up with manners to dine at the White House, but the kids these days… It’s nice to be getting older. Now I can drop the manners and spray my food all over the dining table. People just say, “Oh, that poor old man over there must have forgotten his teeth!”
