Hood River’s Nora’s Table Restaurant Sold

January 15, 2015 by PDX Food Dude Leave a Comment

For those of you who wander out to Hood River now and then, an interesting piece of news. The popular stop, Nora’s Table has been sold. The owners announced yesterday that it had been purchased by chef Roman Deingruber and wife Amy Kaefer. They take ownership on February 7th.

Deingruber is is a native of the Czech Republic, where he studied culinary arts. His experience includes nine years managing both Café Gitane and Bread Restaurants in New York. He then managed the kitchen of the well-regarded Los Angeles restaurant Gjelina, which Los Angeles magazine named “One of the 99 Essential Restaurants in 2013”.

I have had lunch at Nora’s several times, and am interested to see what he does with it.

You’ll find more information here.

To the outgoing owners, best of luck. I kept my promise.
