John Gorham, Liz Crain to Publish “The Tasty Cookbook”

July 20, 2015 by PDX Food Dude Leave a Comment

Fresh off the Toro Bravo Cookbook, John Gorham and Liz Crain are now writing The Tasty Cookbook. David Reamer will be doing the photographs, and Sasquatch Books will be the publisher. Target date for release is Spring 2017.

Chef John Gorham (Toro Bravo, Tasty n Sons, Tasty n Alder, Mediterranean Exploration Company, Plaza del Toro), author Liz Crain (Food Lover’s Guide to Portland) and photographer David Reamer (Le Pigeon, Pure Beef) are working with Sasquatch Books to bring you 100 Tasty n Sons + Tasty n Alder brunch and dinner recipes along with a whole bunch of not-to-be-tamed Tasty-style stories.

Agent Kimberly Witherspoon of New York’s InkWell Management, who represents Anthony Bourdain, Gabrielle Hamilton, David Chang, and many other culinary and literary luminaries inked the deal earlier this week. The Toro Bravo cookbook was published by McSweeney’s but they are no longer publishing cookbooks since editor Rachel Khong left to manage Lucky Peach. Sasquatch’s recent publication of Renee Erickson’s A Boat, a Whale & a Walrus along with forthcoming titles from several chefs that they admire speaks to why The Tasty Cookbook trio is partnering with Sasquatch.
