    Katherine Cole, Ken Forkish, James Beard 2017 Awards Finalists

    2017 James Beard Foundation Awards Finalists

    More James Beard Foundation award nominees were announced today. Two Portlanders made the list:

    Single Subject:

    The Elements of Pizza: Unlocking the Secrets to World-Class Pies at Home

    Ken Forkish

    Ken is the author of the James Beard award-winning book Flour Water Salt Yeast, and is the owner of Ken’s Artisan Bakery, Ken’s Artisan Pizza, Trifecta Tavern & Bakery and Trifecta Annex. Ken is also a finalist for Outstanding Baker.

     

    Outstanding Personality/Host

    The Four Top

    Host: Katherine Cole

    Producers: Katherine Cole and Morgan Holm

    Airs on: npr.org and iTunes

    Katherine is the author of four books on wine, and is host and executive producer of The four Top,  a national food and beverage podcast. Morgan Holm is Senior VP and Chief Content Officer at OPB.

    Winners will be announced on April 25th, 2017.
