Pascal SautonPascal Sauton, formerly of Carafe restaurant, is slated to open Milwaukie Kitchen & Wine in late October 2011.

The 2500 square foot storefront will offer a retail section, with specialty groceries and over 100 wines from Europe and the Northwest, as well as a wine club and wine tasting. In addition, Milwaukie Kitchen & Wine will include a coffee shop featuring Ristretto Roasters, a cooking school where Pascal and guest chefs will offer demonstrations, a deli offering charcuterie, homemade soups, salads, specialty sandwiches and prepared dinners to take home, catering both in-house and off-premise, and special events, such as dinners with winemakers, authors, farmers, food celebrations, and fresh, seasonal produce from local farms.

Pascal who will be leading the new shop with the help of his daughter Prunelle, says the culinary center will include comfortable seating with sofas, a kitchen counter, a long communal table, and smaller more intimate tables.

The store will be on Main Street in the heart of old town Milwaukie.
