Review: Por Qué No? Taqueria

¿Por Que No? Restaurant Portland

[updated 9.17]¿Por Qué No? is yet another hole-in-the-wall taqueria to grace Portland, this time in the burgeoning Mississippi area. Located just 500 feet north of Fremont on Mississippi, it is a converted garage with a dozen tables inside, a recently converted and covered area next door, and a choice of tables and benches on the sidewalk out front. Service is very … [Read more...] about Review: Por Qué No? Taqueria

Review: Mother’s Bistro

Review: St. Honoré Boulangerie

July 18, 2005 by PDX Food Dude 40 Comments

Updated 4/08: stopped here for a meal recently. Overall food quality has dropped significantly. I will go back for more meals and a full review, but for the time being, no longer recommend this restaurant. Many years ago on a whim, I took off on an adventure and went to stay in a small stone house on the outskirts of Heraklion, the capital of Crete. A two-week vacation ended … [Read more...] about Review: Eleni’s Philoxenia

Review: Queen of Sheba

May 1, 2005 by PDX Food Dude 11 Comments

Refreshed 12.09 The Queen of Sheba on Martin Luther King Blvd is home to what many consider the best Ethiopian food in Portland. The restaurant is located on the block between Echo and Russell St. BBQ in N.E. I have passed it many times on my daily walks, and the odor of spices in the air always urges me inside. Recently I made several visits. An old converted store, this … [Read more...] about Review: Queen of Sheba
