Portland Metro Restaurants That are Now Closed

It's always sad to see a restaurant close. As places we have reviewed go out of business, they end up in this category

Review: Alba Osteria and Enoteca

June 22, 2006 by PDX Food Dude

Note: This restaurant is closing December 31st 2010.Maybe it's just me, but I get lost every time I go to Alba Osteria. Hidden away in Hillsdale, it is a little bit out-of-the-way - another one of those places that you could drive past a million times and not notice. Even if it weren't for the food, it would be a great date restaurant. The added bonus is that they serve … [Read more...] about Review: Alba Osteria and Enoteca

Review: Fratelli

Siam Society

6.18.12 - This restaurant is now closed. In my humble opinion, Thai food is one of the most difficult types of cuisine to make properly. Just look at how many Thai restaurants there are in Portland - four in just a few blocks of Alberta Street. Any Thai expatriate may think they can buy a little curry paste and make Thai food, but very few actually manage to pull it off. … [Read more...] about Review: Siam Society

Review: Taqueria Nueve

Note: This restaurant closed May of 2008, however a new one opened in 2014 at 727 SE Washington Street, Portland. When you eat out four or five nights a week, it isn't always easy to find people to go with. Occasionally, that means I have to indulge in the dreaded, Dining Out Alone.About eight months ago I was thinking about doing a review of Taqueria Nueve. It was a … [Read more...] about Review: Taqueria Nueve
