According to KPTV News, Shirley’s Tippy Canoe in Troutdale a total loss.

Shirley’s Tippy Canoe has been a popular stop for travelers coming through the Columbia River Gorge for many years.

The restaurant sat along the Historic Columbia River Highway since 1932, first as a roadhouse which morphed into a biker bar, but then as a family restaurant with a large outdoor space after it was taken over by Shirley Welton in 2007. Over the years it was featured on season 17 of Guy Fieri’s Diners Drive-Ins and Dives and almost closed after the Eagle Creek fire in 2018. The fire started at about 4:30 am this morning. According to KGW News “Fire crews planned to bring an excavator in to tear up a metal roof and ceiling, because fire was trapped underneath. After that investigators would be able to begin figuring out how the fire started.”

I think you might be thinking of Tad’s Chicken and Dumplings.
