    Portland Authors Among James Beard 2013 Book, Broadcast & Journalism Award Winners

    diane-morgan-rootsTwo Portland authors are among the winners of the 2013 James Beard Awards. The restaurant and chef awards will be announced on Monday, May 6th.

    Diane Morgan’s Roots: The Definitive Compendium with More than 225 Recipes won for “Vegetable Focused and Vegetarian books”. In the “Cookbook Awards” section, Ken Forkish of Ken’s Bakery and Ken’s Artisan Pizza won for Flour Water Salt Yeast: The Fundamentals of Artisan Bread and Pizza.
