What Does the Google Cafe Menu Look Like?

August 15, 2005 by PDX Food Dude

I couldn't help but stop and read when I saw that the Google Cafe people are looking for a new chef on their main campus. Employees get the benefit of free meals made from organic/sustainable ingredients. As part of their search, they posted their typical weekly menu.Read more if you want to be depressed about the cubicle farm you work in.Via the Washington Post:From … [Read more...] about What Does the Google Cafe Menu Look Like?

Do You Think a Newspaper’s Viciously Negative Review is Ok?

August 13, 2005 by PDX Food Dude

If, as I have heard, it takes two pages of advertising to … [Read more...] about Does the Oregonian Have an Agenda to Promote Certain Restaurants

Review: St. Honoré Boulangerie

July 18, 2005 by PDX Food Dude

Updated 6.17If Disney Corporation was told to design a French bakery, I would guess that St. Honoré would be pretty close to their final result. This is not necessarily a bad thing. It is more the movie version American tourists expect from a French bakery, but not like any I have ever seen in France. It just has too much of a ‘big money’ feel. However, it's still a great … [Read more...] about Review: St. Honoré Boulangerie

Saucebox Restaurant in Portland Goes Nuclear Over a Bad Review

July 5, 2005 by PDX Food Dude

News Icon

Saucebox Restaurant owners dig a hole for themselves over a bad review. Posted in July of 2005, this is one of my most popular posts ever, and the one that put this site on the map. This was originally three posts, but I put together to preserve the narrative. Over the past six months, there has been a change in the food reviews in this town. Before that time you would see … [Read more...] about Saucebox Restaurant in Portland Goes Nuclear Over a Bad Review
