Bunk Sandwiches Opens Downtown Location

October 21, 2011 by PDX Food Dude 3 Comments

In a Facebook post last night, Tommy Habetz announced that Bunk Sandwiches has opened their third location in SW Downtown Portland.

[We will be opening at] 211 SW 6th Ave tomorrow morning at 8am! We will be open 7 days a week from 8am-3pm in BEAUTIFUL DOWNTOWN PORTLAND!!!! And, we’re sandwiched(haha) between our good friends at Little Bird Bistro and Lauretta Jean’s Pies!! Bonus Bonus! So psyched, Downtown! Git git git it.

The original Bunk Sandwiches location on SE Morrison Street. Back when it opened, Bunk was like a siren, calling me from NW Portland to hassle with lousy parking and lines out the door to get what was then, Portland’s best sandwiches. The new location will bring the same deliciousness to downtown workers.

This new Bunk location is smaller IMHO than the SE location. Reminds me of a food cart parked in a building. After the half-dozen seats are full, there’s really no where else to eat so you have to go outside.

Who cares as long as they continue to put out a great product let the lines begin…..again.
