Portland Businesses Get Love From O Magazine

March 10, 2012 by PDX Food Dude Leave a Comment

Pile of magazinesO Magazine (Oprah), has published their first food issue, and Portland businesses did quite well. Salt & Straw, Olympia Provisions and Mark Bitterman from The Meadow are mentioned. According to a press release,

After taste testing their way through more than 50 different ice creams they chose Salt & Straw’s Arbequina Olive Oil as one of their favorite new ice creams and also recognized Salt & Straw’s collaborative partners, Olympic Provisions and their chorizo and The Meadow’s Mark Bitterman’s top salt choices.”

Olympia Provisions is getting more and more attention from the press, and was part of the Saveur Top 100 last January. The Meadow gets more press than any other business I can think of, with four magazine mentions just in March.
